Behind the name XL9U/ Orange is a LCD projector by Mitsubishi, whose main features include 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 350:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Mitsubishi, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 2000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 259 cm. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
