The HC1100 model is a BrilliantColor-DLP projector from Mitsubishi, intended for Homecinema applications, offering 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 at HDTV 1280 x 720. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Regarding projection size, the value of 1000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 214 cm. This model dates back to 2006 and is no longer part of Mitsubishi's current product range.

Now the time has come after 7 years and almost 3000 hours the lamp is kaput... I really thought about what to do now, as I‘ve been very satisfied all these years, it‘s time for the next round. Really a great HD-ready device...
Only the standby current is high but no problem with an extra circuit ;;)

Eternal Lamp Hunting Grounds
This week, after 6 years and I don‘t know how many thousands of hours, the lamp has gone without bursting. Always had a great picture and a lot of fun. Replacement devices under 1000€ are hardly an option. So a replacement lamp and another 6 years? Fun.

Good with equipment shortcomings
The projector has a good picture, but a slight RBE effect can be seen (more than with Sharp). The lens has too steep a projection angle, therefore only suitable for ceiling mounting and cannot be used cleanly on a table/cabinet. No 1080p only 1080i. Regular dust cleaning required as the lamp is sensitive - even to draughts. OK for beginners, but there are better ones in 2012.

Great device
Very good picture even in a slightly darkened room. Even in dark movie scenes, the details (e.g. textures on spaceships in Star Wars) are very easy to recognize. Overall, I am very satisfied with the brightness, contrast and color. Unfortunately, the device does not have a lens shift. This makes the setup a little stiff.....

Great and inexpensive HD-ready device with real 720p
the fan is practically inaudible. Only a quiet whistling of the color wheel depending on the signal audible
My favorite if HD ready is enough!

Highly recommended
For all those who can do without lens shift and can maintain the appropriate distances, this is a really official device that is fun on all fronts.
