With the HC8000D, Mitsubishi offers a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector that features 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 330000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector. The achievable distances are shown in the Lens Shift Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 366 cm can be illuminated with 1300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 244 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
