With the HC2000, Mitsubishi offers a DLP projector that features 700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3600:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 269 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 179 cm. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
