Behind the name PLED W500 is a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Viewsonic, whose main features include 500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. Viewsonic lists a runtime of 20000 hours for the LED in this projector – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. A look at the light output reveals: The 500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 227 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 151 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Viewsonic.
