The projector M1 Max by Viewsonic utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 120000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The LED unit of this model is rated for up to 60000 hours of runtime – calculating to 41.1 years at four hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. For mobile use, grid-independent operation is possible for a maximum period of 5 hours thanks to the built-in battery. Regarding projection size, the value of 500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 227 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 151 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Additionally, thanks to Google TV, the model is network-capable and can be used without external playback devices. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Thanks to support for Miracast and Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. With a value of only 26 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background.
