The Viewsonic PS501X is a 3D-DLP projector offering 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 22000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 122 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 515 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 343 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Viewsonic.
