Based on LCD technology, the Viewsonic PJ820 projects images in a Stationary environment, with technical specs listing 750 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 200:1 and a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 238 cm can be illuminated with 750 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 159 cm. Since entering the market in 1999, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
