Model Overview

The equipment of the Sony VPL VW85 projector includes 800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 120000:1 with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 display. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp.
For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for optical image shifting. To plan the individual installation location, a look at the Projection Calculator is recommended.
Looking at practical performance, up to 287 cm can be illuminated with 800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 191 cm.
For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported.
With a value of only 20 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2009 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
