After adjustment: excellent |
|
In the beginning there is some cleaning effort as well as adjustment fiddling, I bought my model from an authority where it had been standing around unused for 15 years. According to the counter, it had only been running for 780 hours.
It was quite misaligned at first. After two hours of purely mechanical work (ergo time-consuming, but easy to do), the Sony CRT, connected with VGA to 5xBNC, delighted me with an excellent picture. At just under 25 kg, it is also comparatively light and easier to set up. At just under 120 inches, the picture is bigger and better (albeit a little darker) than any TV could ever manage. Very natural. However, it requires darkness like in a movie theater.

Vph 1020 |
|
Hello, maybe someone can help me. I have a Sony Vph 1020 which also works perfectly with the video input. The only problem I have is that when I switch from the monitor output to a cable with five BNC plugs using an adapter cable from the computer, the picture is displayed 1 1/2 times wider than it should be after a few attempts to adjust it on the PC.

Horizontal stripes |
|
Hi, I‘m currently setting up the picture. Everything works fine, but when I feed in a signal (video or PC via S-Video), I get horizontal stripes. Is the projector defective or am I doing something wrong? Please write to me at

Device without problems and fan noise |
|
You should not underestimate this projector even if it is not line-doubler capable and is not one of the brightest of its kind.
If the room is well darkened, the device is perfectly adjusted, you have a DVD picture at a viewing distance of 4-5 meters
which I have never seen before (3.2006) from any affordable LCD or DLP. Even the quietest cuddling scene is not disturbed by even the quietest fan. The couch can be placed directly under the projector
I haven‘t had to adjust the projector for 8 ! years without having to adjust it. At 1-4 hours per day, the tube wear is also limited.
