The Sony VPL CX76 is a Laser-LCD projector offering 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 350:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 435 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 290 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. This model dates back to 2005 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range.
