Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL SW536MBPAC projects images in a Whiteboard environment, with technical specs listing 3100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 3100 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 566 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 377 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Specifically for the educational or business sector, an interactive whiteboard function is also integrated. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
