Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL PX41 projects images in a Stationary environment, with technical specs listing 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 700:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 515 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 343 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2005 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.
