Categorized in the Event segment, the VPL-FHZ120L / projector from Sony operates with 12000 ANSI lumens and a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 14000 hours – calculating to 9.6 years at four hours of use per day. The device is available in black and white color options. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 12000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1113 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 742 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Since entering the market in 2018, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
