The projector VPL-EW455 by Sony utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 at a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 5.5 years possible. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 601 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 401 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. This model dates back to 2017 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range.
