The projector E-Vision 8000i WU by Digital Projection operates as a 3D-Laser-DLP device with 7200 ANSI lumens, a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution and a contrast of 2200:1. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 7200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 862 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 575 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
