With the Lightning 40 1080p 3D, Digital Projection offers a 3D-DLP projector that features 20000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 500 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1437 cm can be illuminated with 20000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 958 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
