The equipment of the Digital Projection Insight Laser 4k (Preliminary) projector includes 12000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 with a UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 display. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. Regarding projection size, the value of 12000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 779 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 519 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Digital Projection.
