Based on DILA technology, the JVC DLA SX21 device delivers 1500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 and a contrast of 800:1 as a projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projector Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 1500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 225 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Small screen width, rooms with very little ambient light below 50 lumens.
I have been using two of these projectors for a long time and am very satisfied. Good color reproduction (in contrast to most DLP), high resolution and professional inputs.
The remote control via serial interface (RS232) is very practical if you have to control several projectors, since the included IR remote control is not addressable.
One disadvantage: since the device has three separate image generators for red, green and blue, the pixels at the edge do not converge precisely, i.e. the color components can shift by approx. 1 pixel to each other. This is NOT adjustable, not even when the device is open, as the image sensors are soldered to the mounting.
