The DLA RS48 is a 3D-DILA projector by JVC, whose specifications list 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. According to JVC, the included lamp lasts up to 3000 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to perfectly align the image even with off-center installations – exact dimensions are provided by the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 366 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 244 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 20 decibels. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by JVC. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
