Designed for the High-End Homecinema sector, the DLA HX2 model from JVC features 500 ANSI lumens, a native WXGA+ 1400 x 788 resolution and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 227 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 151 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by JVC.
