This projector from Viewsonic utilizes 3D-DLP technology, achieving 3000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 15000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

The projector produces a very good picture and has been running flawlessly for almost 5 years now. Very bright, sharp picture, good colors. And it has a wide-angle lens with zoom, which is rare, so a huge picture at short distances. It has almost reached its 4000 lamp hours. Very inexpensive replacement lamps.

The beamer has the above strengths. Very suitable for movies and consoles
Only in operation (including Eco mode) is the projector quite loud, sometimes you can also hear the color wheel rattling. Signs of fatigue due to the poor quality components. The projector creaks and bends when simply pressing on the plastic housing.
The volume is due to the non-optimized cooling system. 29 dB is definitely not the case.
