The Eiki EK-820U is a 3D-Laser-DLP projector that brings 10000 ANSI lumens, a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution alongside a contrast of 100000:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 10000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1016 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 677 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Eiki.
