The DW6851 is a 3D-Laser-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Vivitek, whose specifications list 7000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction, granting significant leeway during mounting. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 850 cm can be illuminated with 7000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 567 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
