A projector from Vivitek is the DW882ST, whose 3D-Laser-DLP model delivers 3600 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 15000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3500 hours. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 104 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 610 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 407 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
