A projector from Vivitek is the DW355ST, whose 3D-Laser-BrilliantColor-DLP model delivers 3800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 30000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 102 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 3800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 626 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 417 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Thanks to support for optional Miracast and Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen.
