Categorized in the Event segment, the DU9800Z projector from Vivitek projects with a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution, alongside 18000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 10000:1. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projector Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 18000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1363 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 909 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2017 and is no longer part of Vivitek's current product range. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
