The Sanyo PLV HD100 (USA) is a LCD projector offering 5500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 753 cm can be illuminated with 5500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 502 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
