A projector from Sanyo is the PLV WF10, whose LCD model delivers 4000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1366 x 768 and a contrast of 900:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projection Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

Have (10.2017) 2 old Sanyo PLV WF10 for my video acrobatics.
Back then, 4000 lumens was certainly a lot and the resolution was considered very high. ES lenses are mounted without zoom and keystone function. It is not yet clear to me whether the keystone works via electronics or lens. The item is available in the menu, but without the settings sub-items it is pointless. I think the lamps would have to be replaced on one or the optics would have to be cleaned. Unfortunately, the latter seems rather difficult, as the device is very complex. You‘re more likely to break things when fiddling around. Otherwise, the device seems to have been one of the top models of its kind at the time. The variety of interfaces in particular, and here the design as plug-in elements, clearly and unambiguously demonstrate the Pro standard. Today, 4000 lumens and 2-lamp technology are outdated. 10000 to 30000 lumens and laser diodes instead of lamps are the current standard. K4 or at least 1920x1080p is also the current standard. In addition, the weight of over 20 kg without lens is drastic and not conducive to handling. Nevertheless, compliments to Sanyo; certainly a TOP engineering and implementation achievement back then! The fact that the parts are still running at all is a testament to the quality.
