The projector PLC XF35E by Sanyo operates as a LCD device with 6500 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 1100:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 702 cm can be illuminated with 6500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 468 cm. The projector was released in 2003 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo.
