Categorized in the Stationary segment, the PLC XF40 projector from Sanyo projects with a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, alongside 7700 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 700:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 764 cm can be illuminated with 7700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 509 cm. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
