The projector X10 by InFocus operates as a Laser-BrilliantColor-DLP device with 1200 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast of 7500:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 1200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 352 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 235 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Since entering the market in 2008, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Still in my collection after all these years?and with good care, it just keeps on running. It?s important to clean it regularly?there?s a very fine mesh in the lamp compartment; if it gets clogged with fine lint or dust, the projector overheats and won?t turn on. Vacuuming is essential!!! I?ve never regretted buying it.

Lots of projector for little money
Great projector for little money. I bought the Infocus used at auction for a mere 275 euros, it replaced my Sony G70 Crt projector. After I connected it up, I was amazed at how good the picture was. Colors, sharpness, black levels - all at the level of the former reference device G70, or even better. The picture was very natural and I even liked it better than the 3LCD competitor from Sony (HW15), and the Infocus was extremely sharp and bright. In my darkened room, I had to watch in Eco mode as the picture was simply far too bright. I could grow old with the device but...the rainbow effect was far too strong, I could hardly watch a movie to the end, my eyes just hurt :( In addition, the projector was a bit louder than others, about 29db I find just too much. If you are not sensitive to RBE and are looking for a cheap full HD projector, you should definitely take a look at the X10 ;)

Life time insufficient
What good is 2000 hours lamp life if the whole device only lasts 670 hours. That pushes the euro/hour price up to 2 euros. With repair costs of 600 euros, this is a total economic loss.

To the editors of Projektoren Datenbank
I made a mistake in my opinion on the X10 infocus.
The Darkchip series is not from Technics but from Texas Instrument. Sorry

Full HD DLP for 1299,- €
This projector puts everything in this class in the shade.
Since my last projectors were only tube projectors, I was spoiled by the contrast.
Only with the X10 and its big brothers, the in82 and in83, can you really say: the time of the tube is over.
It makes no sense to fall back on in81, in82 and in83, as they only differ in contrast and a little more brightness. This is made possible by the Darkchip 2 and 3 or 4 from Technics. However, I was not willing to pay up to 5 times the price for the same features.
