As a projector, the InFocus SP8602 combines DLP technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 1400 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 30000:1. According to InFocus, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Looking at practical performance, up to 380 cm can be illuminated with 1400 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 253 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2009, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

I got the device used with just under 900 h incl. invoice and full warranty.
Before I had an Epson TW4400 and I have to say that this one is sharper and has more depth of image and color intensity.
The contrast and black level is not quite as brilliant as with the JVC or Sony projectors but you can counteract this well with the iris settings.
Disadvantage is the fan is a bit loud about 30 db in eco, in normal mode you can hear the fan clearly!
Conclusion: I am enthusiastic about the projector - top image sharpness, no RBE visible, very good black level, but the fan is slightly audible.
5 years warranty is another plus.
This projector can easily keep up in the upper class in the 2D range, who is not dependent on 3D should not miss this bargain! Unfortunately, this and its successor (sp8604) are no longer in production! Only available used! DLP reference in my opinion!

Correction of dimensions and weight
Hello
According to the Infocus brochure, it is not quite as big and heavy, because the database details refer more to the shipping carton.
Prospectus details:
Dimensions - W×L×H = 362 × 540 × 178 mm
Weight = 7.6 kg
Despite the impressive size, I find the projector too loud at 28db in the ECO!
