Based on DLP technology, the InFocus Play Big IN82 device delivers 1500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 and a contrast of 12000:1 as a projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Regarding projection size, the value of 1500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 393 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 262 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by InFocus.
