The Genesis IN118BBST model from InFocus combines DLP technology in the Short Distance sector with 3400 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 30000:1 and a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 8000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 11 years based on two hours of use per day. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 100 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3400 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 592 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 395 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2020, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
