The ScreenPlay Vista SP2238ST model from InFocus combines DLP technology in the Short Distance sector with 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 30000:1 and a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 15000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 99 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 27 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling.
