The IN5504 model is a BrilliantColor-DLP projector from InFocus, intended for Stationary applications, offering 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 at WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Distance Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 29 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. This model dates back to 2009 and is no longer part of InFocus's current product range.

The In 5504 serves as a picture provider in my home theater. The brightness of 5,000 ANSI lumens is great, with good blacks and sufficient contrast. The energy-saving mode is easily sufficient for a good picture. The fan noise is audible, but doesn‘t bother me as we never watch quietly in our movie theater. Unfortunately, the projector forgets its settings if it is completely disconnected from the mains via the main switch - as I did - and the thing is really huge and needs a lot of space around it for ventilation reasons.
