As a projector for the Standard-Portabel sector, the Hitachi CP X885W is equipped with 3500 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 600:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 515 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 343 cm. The projector was released in 2003 and is officially no longer distributed by Hitachi.
