The Hitachi CP X8800B is a LCD projector offering 8000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 8000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 779 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 519 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. This model dates back to 2016 and is no longer part of Hitachi's current product range.
