Designed for the Standard-Portabel sector, the CP S860E model from Hitachi features 1700 ANSI lumens, a native SVGA 800 x 600 resolution and a contrast ratio of 200:1. According to Hitachi, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 1700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 359 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 239 cm. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by Hitachi.
