The Hitachi CP X870D is a LCD projector that brings 2000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution alongside a contrast of 400:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 2000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 259 cm. This model dates back to 2003 and is no longer part of Hitachi's current product range.
