Designed for the Standard-Portabel sector, the MP 8775i model from 3M features 3500 ANSI lumens, a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast ratio of 500:1. According to 3M, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 515 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 343 cm. Since entering the market in 2001, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
