The MP 8650 model is a LED-LCD projector from 3M, intended for Stationary applications, offering 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 100:1 at SVGA 800 x 600. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 1000 hours for this projector's lamp. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. The projector was released in 1996 and is officially no longer distributed by 3M.

What a hulk of a projector...
14 kilos and makes a lot of noise. I bought it on Ebay eons ago (300.-). But it‘s always loud here on the Kiez anyway - and the great picture makes up for it. Made of steel is all I can say. If you have the space for it and don‘t mind the fan, you‘ll be delighted. I also found the possibility of being able to use a house opposite as a projection screen funny
Unfortunately, the quirks are slowly starting to appear, but I have no regrets about the purchase. :-)
