The projector DMS 710 by 3M operates as a DLP device with 1500 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 1200:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 124 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 337 cm can be illuminated with 1500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 225 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
