The projector MP-TW3001 by Maxell operates as a LCD device with 3300 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 500000:1. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 60 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 389 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2018 and is no longer part of Maxell's current product range.
