As a projector, the Maxell MP-EW5002 combines LCD technology with a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800, and is additionally specified with 5000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 500000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2018 and is no longer part of Maxell's current product range.
