A projector from LG is the ProBeam GRU510N, whose 3D-DLP model delivers 5000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 and a contrast of 3000000:1. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector. The achievable distances are shown in the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. The projector was released in 2020 and is officially no longer distributed by LG.
