The BN315 model is a DLP projector from LG, intended for Homecinema applications, offering 1200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 at WXGA 1280 x 768. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 1200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 352 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 235 cm. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by LG. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.

Have had the projector for a few weeks now, so no comments on durability
+ bright
+ good contrast
+ quiet (in eco mode)
+ good, strong colors
+ black/white (7 Samurai) good
+ sharp and detailed
+ smart flap for the lens
+ no RBE for me
+ pleasant exterior
+ good price for me
- black is dripping, in Jackie Brown, for example, the details in the hair are completely gone
- typical for DLP, the setup is inflexible, designed more as a telephoto lens
- watching movies is so much fun that the apartment doesn‘t get tidied up
Two negatives of the projector are in connection with other devices:
- My laptop thinks the thing has 1024x768, then it gets blurry with small fonts for example
- The DVD player with HDMI has to run at 1024i, at 720p the picture wobbles, I wouldn‘t have thought that
In principle I am very satisfied and now suddenly I like to watch a movie and can even iron or something. With a nice surround system, you‘re right in the middle of the action. I think it‘s cool
