Based on DLP technology, the LG PF1000U projects images in a Short Distance environment, with technical specs listing 1000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 150000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The built-in LED technology features a light source lifespan of 30000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 58 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 1000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 214 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it.

A dream come true. No cables hanging around the room and no complicated installation. Just place it on the chest of drawers in front of the screen and you‘re good to go. It‘s quiet too. The speakers are a bit weak. What is still missing is the intermediate image calculation. The only minus is the black level. The black is more of an unevenly shining gray. LG could do better.
