The Sharp XV Z3300 is a BrilliantColor-DLP projector offering 900 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 7000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. Looking at practical performance, up to 305 cm can be illuminated with 900 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 203 cm. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by Sharp. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.

I‘ve had the projector for 3 years now and I‘m still delighted with it. I‘ve only had to change the lamp once so far and the Sharp still delivers a TOP picture. My friends have bought projectors from Benq, Acer and Mistubishi, but my XV-Z3300 outperformed them all. Even in economy mode, the Sharp is very bright, especially if you have a good screen (gain 1-1.6). So far, there is no reason to switch to a newer HD projector. I was able to achieve the picture quality by purchasing a Panasonic BluRay player. I get the lamps from abroad. Great device.

Wow. Still a TOP device
Hello,
I‘ve had the projector for 2 years now and I‘m still thrilled. A number of colleagues brought their projectors to me in 2012 as a comparison and the Sharp stood up to or even beat them all.
It‘s bright, but not "too bright" like some data projectors. Personally, I‘ve been using it in ECO mode since the beginning because the normal lamp mode is really bright. My first lamp is still in it...after 2600h it runs clean. The picture is super.....DLP combined with iris diaphragm and a good video processor is simply brilliant. If you also set the fan from standard to quiet in the menu.... you can only hear a whisper from a distance of 1 m. I have no need for a new FULL-HD projector because my 720p Sharp delivers via BluRay source and I‘m completely satisfied. Even with the RBE effect, where I am more sensitive, the Sharp is great. The 5xSpeed color wheel is TOP...before that I had a Mitsubishi HC1100 where the color flickering was still visible, but with the Sharp I only saw flickering once for 05.s in 2 years and then no more. Important: Get a cheap Gain 1 or 1.6 screen from eBay. I often see people working with haustapete....NO NO...screen, then the Sharp looks even better.

Absolute class
I‘ve owned the device since summer 2008 and run it in cinema mode. The device really isn‘t loud. And let‘s be honest: anyone who watches via a projector has the home theater system on anyway. I have the device hanging above my head and I can really only hear it very faintly during very quiet passages in the movie. No rainbow effect, nothing. And whether BluRay or DVD, it doesn‘t matter, the result on the screen is always the same. Top notch. Whether brightness, contrast, or colors and sharpness. There‘s nothing to complain about, and the installation on the first day was completed within 5 minutes. Anyone can do it. I‘d buy it again any time. Well done Sharp!!!
Greetings

Hammer
I really see a lot of projectors in my job, but the Sharp is convincing because of its workmanship
and its "super brilliant picture". The brightness is just as bright compared to a business projector with 3000
Ansi, as the Sharp compensates for this with its excellent contrast. The fan is louder than on other devices, but it is not as intrusive as some others with its humming and whistling. The good cooling also contributes to the fact that this is one of the devices that rarely sees a workshop. The device‘s keystone adjustment is excellent, allowing the Sharp to display the picture perfectly from almost any position. Simply adjust the four corners of the picture and it‘s right where it should be :-)

Comparison makes you rich !!!!!
This projector lives up to its price-performance ratio. First of all, the point that many see as negative .... the volume (29db). Personally, I can cope with it, because I HEAR LOUD LIKE IN THE CINEMA anyway. And even in the quiet scenes I can live with the fan noise, because!!!... and we come to the positive part, the Sharp 3300 conjures up such a great sharp picture on the screen. It is also a DLP projector. This statement may be incomprehensible to many LCD lovers, but I can‘t understand anyone who buys an LCD if they are not sensitive to the rainbow effect. Don‘t these people know that the picture gets worse and worse over time? With a DLP projector you still have almost the same picture quality after 4000 hours. So much for the DLP. (I don‘t even want to mention the black level) In addition, the Sharp has two color wheels that rotate in opposite directions, making the RBE almost invisible even to sensitive people. A further plus point is the generous positioning options. Thanks to digital correction of the image, this is almost better than lens shift. The workmanship is also good and at a price where other comparable projectors will only be in 5 years. Why the BenQ w5000 I have seen both side by side. The Benq is slightly sharper. But I can hardly see it. But the difference in size is noticeable. My girlfriend would have killed me if I had walked into her apartment with the BenQ monster. So if you like watching romantic movies, you‘d better take another look around. For everyone else, I‘d say there‘s nothing better. Incidentally, I paid €1500 for mine.

I bought the sharp xv z3300
All in all, it‘s a great device. The only thing that bothers me is the volume and the fact that the device has no lens shift. Oh well. Nevertheless, absolutely recommendable!!!

Home theater in super quality
The XV3300 has been hanging under the ceiling in the basement for 5 months. With additions such as theater seats and darkening, a beautiful cinema atmosphere has been created.
The Playstation 3 is used as a player, primarily with Blue Ray movies. Our son and lots of friends we didn‘t know before also play games, and really intensively at that.
We have fixed the picture size at 2.6 m picture width in relation to the distance of around 5.5 m.
Our experiences so far have been very good overall. The black level is excellent despite only using a white wall, and the sharpness is impressive, especially with HD material. Movies have a real cinema feeling.
No guest - and there are quite a few - has yet noticed a rainbow effect. The brightness is absolutely sufficient for the darkened room, although you should try out the contrast and brightness settings depending on how you feel.
What is a little annoying without a movie running is the operating noise of the fan. However, since this doesn‘t play a role in movies, it doesn‘t bother us much, but I‘m a little sensitive myself and have deshablb thought of building a cover, as we sit directly under the projector and it might be a little quieter in quieter scenes.
The device is also neatly finished.
Overall, our experiences have been very positive. We would buy the projector again in a heartbeat and have had a lot of fun with it so far.

Full-HD why with the quality of the Sharp XV-Z3300
Hello,
I‘ve been looking at projectors intensively for almost 3 months now and have considered all the pros and cons.
One thing is clear, you shouldn‘t go exclusively by tests in the trade magazines, as an objective impression on site at dealers is the only true one. I must have been able to see almost 20-30 projectors in the time mentioned and I have to say that the Sharp XV-Z3300 is the non plus ultra in terms of price/performance ratio in the upper segment.
I really asked myself why Full HD when a Sharp with high-resolution material was so close and in some cases even better. There were projectors that cost five times as much as the Sharp, but weren‘t any better!
The decision has been made for me, so I‘m going to buy a Sharp XV-Z3300 before Christmas. During the many conversations I‘ve had, I‘ve heard that Sharp build absolutely sophisticated devices with lasting quality - what more could you want? So don‘t let the marketing drive you crazy.

A very good 720p projector for the current price
I‘ve had this projector hanging on my wall for some time now as a replacement for a Sanyo Z5.
In comparison to the Sanyo, I was rewarded with a very good black level and vivid picture.
Some people may think that the Sanyo has 10000:1 on/off and 1100 Ansi lumens and the Sharp only 7000:1 on/off and 900 Ansi lumens.
All garbage, the Sharp is brighter, offers the better black level and has the better in-picture contrast.
The lack of lens shift is a bit annoying during installation, especially since Sharp has already equipped mid-range devices with it in the past.
The Sharp is a bit louder than the Z5, but still in the tolerable range.
If you don‘t have a problem with the RBE, you can describe the Z3300 as very RBE poor... buy it, or have a look at it at the dealer. :)
@Sirgoele
It‘s common knowledge that you‘re not an advocate of DLPs.
But to describe the device as a much too loud light box and such a miserable thing should not get any approval at all. is just ridiculous.

Have tested it
The Sharp is nothing more than a much too loud light box! Something as miserable as this should not be approved at all. If you sit close to the device, you will be damaged by the noise it makes. The RBE does the rest.

Irre contrast, colors and black level....but....!!!!
In a direct comparison that I recently made before buying, this projector initially outshines every other projector in terms of luminosity, contrast, black level and colors. Unfortunately, the following shortcomings emerged in practice:
- Much too loud fan (compared to e.g. Panasonic)
- Too pixelated image from projection greater than 3 meters (this is better)
- Poor deinterlacer for analogue image material (e.g. SVHS)
- No Lensshif
- Installation critical, as digital image section adjustment is only possible very sparingly
As I said, the beamer initially amazes with its impressive contrast...it could hardly be better.

Sharp XV 3300
Hello everyone,
I‘ve looked at at least 10 different projectors in the last few weeks and compared the values. I‘ve learned that you can‘t rely on the values, you have to look at the device. I also decided on DLP, and I looked at the following projectors:
Benq PE7700, Mitsubishi HD1000U, Sharp XV Z3000, Optoma HD73,
Mitsubishi HC1000, Optoma HD70 and I have to say that although the devices all have quite good picture quality, the Sharp XVZ3300 is much better, even in direct comparison with the Shap 3000, it‘s like night and day.
I also saw the 3300 in comparison with a projector costing over 15000€ and it was far worse than the Sharp. So my tip is to save a little longer and then buy the right one.
